Money is a tool. It may help to compare it to a hammer. A hammer which is too small won't do the job, or it will take so long we become weary by the time the job is done. On the other hand, a hammer too large may do the job but is hard to use and may make an ugly dent. Sometimes a hammer isn't needed at all; we are better off with glue or a screw driver. When we treat money as a tool, recognizing when money is the right tool, and what is just the right amount we need, life is easier.

Grant Guidelines
The following are guidelines about our grant process. Grants may be made outside these guidelines under certain circumstances. This information may help you apply for funds, or for a Life Chi Feng Shui Crystal at a price less than the suggested donation price.

We specialize in grants to people and groups who are focused in the direction of personal and world peace and wellbeing from a unique, well focused perspective who are not likely to be eligible for funds from standard granting foundations. In the grant process, we ask: are the intentions and proposed actions clear? Will this project benefit the world, on an individual or worldwide level? Is this a bandage - that is, a temporary solution?

We believe in long term solutions. The saying, "Give a person a fish and they will eat for a day. Teach them how to catch fish and they can eat for a lifetime, plus they can teach others how to fish and eat for a lifetime too" comes to mind. (liberty taken by adding on to the original saying. :-)

As great clarity and financial abundance comes when a space is Feng Shui'ed, eliminating the need for more money, we require all applicants to have purchased a Life Chi Feng Shui Crystal at least three months prior to applying for a grant. Many life affirmative organizations will qualify for discounts.

If your organization has formal financial statements, and other papers, we would expect they would be made available. The flip side is also true. If you or your organization is informal, you may have little paperwork. You have a vision, a goal and a way to accomplish your goal .You should have a budget, however simple or complex, which tells how much money you need and how it will be spent. If you have received previous grants, please tell us about them.

A brochure, web site, list of accomplishments or other informative items would be helpful.

Grant funds range from small to large. Let us know what you want to do, how much it will cost ,and how much you have or can get from other sources. Be clear if there are levels of funding possible that would accomplish some of what you are proposing. This story is an example of that.
There was a woman who wanted to feed the hungry in her town. She lived in a tiny apartment. She had no car and little money. Her friends who wanted to help her also had little money. But she was resourceful. She did not apply for a grant to build a dining hall and kitchen filled with food service equipment. Nor did she apply for a grant to buy food, or a funded position for herself or anyone else. Instead she went around her town and found a church which would open its doors twice a week to them. The church had a social hall and a modestly equipped kitchen. That taken care of she went to a local health food store and asked if they could donate some produce, bread and other items which were not good enough to sell. They said an enthusiastic yes. There was only one item missing: a large soup pot .One hundred dollars bought a large stainless steel pot. The program expanded to additional days at other locations in the community. Many people were fed for a long time.
- Global warming is perhaps the biggest problem humanity faces today. This means, first, that reduction of global warming is a grant priority. Second, that grants should at the very minimum not be detrimental to global warming. It can become a balancing act as almost everything we do short of planting a tree in our yard has some detrimental effect. Grants should focus on goals that have minimum impact on global warming.

We like to keep grant applications as personal as possible to get a feel of who you are. If you could include a half page or so handwritten on lined paper, it would be appreciated. If this is for an organization with a number of principle parties, it would be appreciated if each could write a half page using ball point pen (not roller ball) on lined paper. A paragraph or two saying in your own words what you want to do could be of great assistance. Much is said in the warmth of the hand written word, and if possible we would like to experience yours.

be physically mailed if practical.

...we were having some problems getting things to flow: funding was short, employees weren't working out, paper work was backing up... In the past year, our organizations problems seem to have melted away. We have enough funding to put some reserve away for a rainy day. We were able to remodel the library and buy hundreds of new books because we received a big grant last February (just after the crystals arrived). We heave even been able to increase staff hours and start some interesting new programs this year.
