About Feng Shui
What you have to know about Feng Shui to
benefit from Quantum Feng Shui
Absolutely nothing.
What you may want to know for background
information.
The Chinese, Tibetans and
other Asian cultures have, for thousands of years, recognized and worked with
systems of energy which are neither visible nor tangible, and are just now
becoming widely known in the West. Acupuncture is one example; this ancient
science from the Chinese and Tibetan cultures is now acknowledged as
effective by Western medicine. It works on the pathways of energy flow in
the body (meridians). If any point on a meridian is blocked, the chi (life
force energy) of the affected organ system doesn't flow properly and your whole
being will be deficient. Often, stimulating certain points by placing a
needle or burning an herbal blend over them can restore the flow in the
meridian, and balance in the body.
Similarly, land and
buildings have energy systems. Feng Shui is the ancient science of keeping
these systems in perfect balance, as in nature. Like acupuncture, Feng Shui
is primarily concerned with the optimal flow of chi. Instead of a system
of meridians, Feng Shui uses the Ba Gua, a template designating different
aspects of life or Guas, specifically: Health, Abundance/Prosperity,
Helpful People/Travel, Career, Fame/Reputation, Relationship, Children,
Ancestors, and Self-Knowledge. This template is "placed" over a section
of land or a building, or a part of a building, to determine the location
of the nine guas in that land or structure. In the place of needles and
herbal blends used by acupuncturists to restore chi, Feng Shui practitioners
use traditional blessings to energize or empower a variety of very specific
objects such as wind chimes, faceted crystal balls and bamboo flutes,
precisely positioned to maximize the flow of chi. These are known as Feng
Shui cures. In addition, there are Feng Shui remedies consisting of
specific meditations or body positions performed by the client.
Many factors can affect
the proper flow of chi in each gua, and therefore in the whole system, the
entire Ba Gua. Most important is the lay of the land: the terrain,
underground energy, nearby mountains, streams and other features. You have
probably noticed that some places feel better than others. Most people feel
great in a beautiful mountain meadow, sitting next to a stream or waterfall,
where the chi is strong and good. We are nourished by time spent here.
Similarly, we experience some homes and buildings as nourishing, but not all.
The energy of our surroundings effects us. Land or structures with poor
energy flow drain our personal energy, leaving us depleted rather than
nourished. Feng Shui practitioners will place cures to correct for
blockages or deficiencies in energy due to the lay of the land.
Another factor, the
shape of a building, influences the energy within. Appearances can be
deceptive. Beautiful buildings do not necessarily have optimal energy
flow, and some quite simple structures have wonderful energy. The shape
of rooms and buildings shapes their chi. For example, a square or
rectangular space usually has good energy. If, however, one wall is a
little out of square, this creates a shape that tends to cause cancer.
Feng Shui has cures for the poor energy in this and other detrimentally-shaped
rooms. These cures correct the energetic malady caused by the misalignment
of the wall or other room element. The wall itself hasn't physically moved
an inch, but the energy emanating from the cure restores the beneficial
flow of chi. Energetically, the room is now whole; energetically, the
wall has moved.
The contents and décor
of spaces help determine their energy. Spaces, both exterior and interior,
must be free of clutter, which traps much needed chi. (The importance of
clearing clutter is discussed in the previous section, "How Quantum Feng Shui
Crystals Work for You.") Interior spaces may need changes in their décor;
for example, eliminating some colors or introducing new ones are cures that
can enhance the flow of chi in a particular gua. Landscaping may require
different plants to improve the chi outdoors, or a fountain or pond may be
needed.
Feng Shui is an individual thing
Feng Shui needs to be
adapted to the needs of different people. One tenant may have particular need
for knowing one self (self knowledge gua). The next tenant may have had few
career opportunities and thus s/he is concerned with career advancement. A
skilled practitioner will sense what is needed differently. Quantum Feng
Shui Crystals does likewise.
Tenants leave their
energy imprints in structures. Nice people leave nice imprints, while
some energy imprints need to be cleared, as they can be very detrimental.
A trained Feng Shui practitioner can pick up on problems in a building and
offer the client cures to correct undesirable situations.
Feng Shui as an Art and a Science
Feng Shui is a 5,000 year
old science and art. It is a science because it has evolved by working with
the energies of the Universe in an observed way to scientifically find what
benefits people in many different situations. It is an art because there are
so many layers of work to do in helping the energy flow, and much of it is
intuitive.
Feng Shui Historically
From prehistoric times
people have observed that some situations place them in positions of power while
others place them in positions of vulnerability. A good example is the early
humans. They were not only hunters, but also the hunted. If they were in their
cave and were facing the opening, they could easilly (well, hopefully easily)
see and defend themselves against animal or human aggressors. However, if
they had their back tot he opening, they might not know what was going to eat
them for dinner. This has carried through to today. We might not be in a
position of being eaten by a tiger but we are on some level ill at ease if
our back is to where people are. An example is a person working in a typical
cubicle. If they have they are facing the opening, at least they can see who
is there. If their back is to the opening, they may have no idea what is
going on behind them. Traditional Feng Shui would recommend that the person
face the opening, or at least have their side to it. If this is not possible,
the recommendation would be to place a mirror on the wall in front of them to
reflect, both on a visual and more importantly, on an energtic level what is
behind them. This way they can be more at ease.
If this were the only
cure needed for a building it would be easy to just hang a mirror. But there
are thousands of potentially devastating situations and many more of a lesser
intensity.
This is where a trained
practitioner comes in handy. They are skilled at finding the problem areas
and offering corrections. Those from the Compass School use a compass with a
Lo Pan, which is a complex device incorporating the compass, Ba Gua and
many other things to determine many things about a building and
the needed corrections. More modern is the Black Hat School of Feng Shui. Black
Hat Practitioners don't use the compass and Lo Pan, but they make extensive use
of the Ba Gua which is an octagon shaped reference tool to determine optimal
placement of many things in a home or business. It is less complex this way,
but still has its share of intricate details. Both these systems work, if you
are willing to do what your practitioner says. And this can be a lot, and is
very time consuming.
How corrections have been done
Some buildings need
only one or two cures (corrections) to bring them up to a place we can call neutral: neither
good nor bad. But many buildings need a lot of energy work, requiring
many Feng Shui cures to achieve neutral. This is done in stages, first
correcting for major deficiencies, then for minor ones; each of the guas
is examined and addressed in turn. Once the cures are completed, the energy
has been restored to neutral; occupying the space is no longer detrimental.
Then it becomes possible
to put in place Feng Shui cures designed to enhance the space and create a
highly beneficial environment. The client and practitioner work together in
bringing about desired life changes. The practitioner senses what is needed
and tells the client what to do. The client places the necessary
enhancements, and may do ceremonies with the practitioner to
shift the energy as desired.
To do all this usually
requires more than one, and often numerous, consultations with a trained
Feng Shui practitioner. Subsequent consultations may be required as the
needs of the client change.
Feng Shui from Books
A multitude of books on
Feng Shui, some excellent, are now available in the West. Many try to
learn Feng Shui from these books; perhaps there are no practitioners
available in their area, or they lack the funds for consultations and
cures. It is unlikely that a science developed over 5,000 years and
handed down from Master to Student can be comprehended adequately by
amateurs reading a book or two. There are some people who can sense the
energy in a place, and intuit how to help the space enhance their life.
But for the majority, Feng Shui must be studied and competence acquired
with the help of skillful tuition, much like learning any science.
Westerners, lacking
fluency in the language of energy flow, fail to comprehend the importance
of balance among all the guas, or the intricacies and nuances required to
achieve this balance. The temptation is to correct for a particular need,
without having the understanding importance of the health of each gua to
that of the entire Ba Gua. For example, a person desiring more wealth may
select and apply abundance cures, while ignoring deficiencies in the areas
of career or reputation or helpful people which may be the cause of the
present financial deficiency.
Relationship and Sexuality
A couple or person seeking a better relationship, more enlightened sexuality
or just better sex may seek relationship counseling, advice or other types of
relationship help. If they are working with Feng Shui they may add
cures for relationship, the obvious first choice. But self knowledge
and self esteem are essential parts of relationship. One must know and love
oneself before one can truly know and love another. Another element which
often could use enhancement is connection to All That Is, Spirituality. Why
sex is so sought after and so unsatisfying is that we often don't have
a connection to All That Is when we enter into union with a partner. Divine
sexuality comes from a place of divine connection first. The more whole and
centered each member of a partnership is when they join in union, the higher
they can go.
When all the pieces are in place, deeply loving and committed relationship
is then possible.
The Problem and The Solution
It is highly unlikely that the amateur will
be able to grasp or do all the Feng Shui that is needed, especially from
a book. It is also possible that the
amateur will inadvertently create new energetic imbalances that will
exacerbate the situation or be harmful to her health, relationships, or life.
But Quantum Feng Shui Crystals doing Quantum Feng Shui for you "know" what is needed and
automatically do the necessary cures, thus improving your life.
Other things Feng Shui does
Feng Shui does more
than help energy flow in one's environment. It clears life patterns as
well. For example, a person lives in a home that, due to its positioning
and design, offers situations of poor abundance to its inhabitants. This
person has little money, and when he moves to another home it will most
likely provide another situation that will discourage abundance. The houses
may look entirely different, but their energies will be similar. Even if
the person's financial wealth was to increase greatly, his worries about
money will remain, or possibly even escalate. Placing the appropriate Feng
Shui cures in a home this person occupies will not only clear the problem
from his life in that home, it will likely clear much of the problem from
his life. The next time he moves, he will find himself in a home with
improved abundance flow. Whatever we have properly corrected in our home,
we have cured in our lives.
Quantum Feng Shui
This introduction to Feng
Shui has not addressed the intricacies of this ancient system, which are
communicated over time by expert teachers. Most people do not have the
time or energy to devote to acquiring the depth of understanding necessary to
practice this system well. Many busy Westerners do not even have the time
or resources to invest in carrying out all the recommendations from a
skilled Feng Shui practitioner, recommendations which must be followed in an
exacting manner, and which may not fit in well with Western decor. Almost
everyone, however, desires a fulfilling life, gracefully lived.
Now, with the development
of Quantum Feng Shui Crystals, the blessings
of Feng Shui are available to anyone, easily.
These beautiful, natural Crystals are so easy to use that they have
revolutionized the age-old practice of Feng Shui.
One Crystal will take
the place of all the Feng Shui cures you now need, and will do so on an
ongoing basis as your needs change. It knows what is needed in each
situation, and emanates the needed energy automatically, bringing the
perfect balance of nature into your home and life. It provides you the
keys to ease open the locks in your life that you may have feared to be
